We offer classes for dancers of all ages. With classes starting at age 5, all the way up to 100, there's something for everyone at Prairie North Dance.
Competitive Irish Dance
Prairie North Dance holds membership with the Cumann Rince Náisiúnta (CRN), based in Dublin Ireland. Our competitive dance teams and solo dancers compete at the national, regional, and world level within the CRN.
Special Events and Performances

Our Classes
Irish Dance Classes
Prairie North Dance is a technique and skills-based dance and creative movement program with its instructional foundation rooted in Safe Dance Practice and Brain-Compatible Dance Education for dancers from age 5 to 100! Students at Prairie North Dance have the opportunity to learn a mixture of traditional, modern and performative Irish Dance and creative movement in our classes. Registration for our 2025 Winter Session (January - March) is now open! Registration closes on January 6th, 2025. Upcoming Classes for the 2024-2025 Dance Season
The following classes will be offered throughout the 2024-2025 Dance Season:
All Adult Dance Classes are on Friday Evenings: Adult Beginner Irish Dance from 8-9pm, Advanced/Competitive Adult Irish Dance from 9-10pm.
All Children's Dance Classes are on Sunday Afternoons: Beginner Irish Dance (Ages 5-10) at 3-4pm, Novice Irish Dance (Ages 7-10) at 4-5pm, Boy's Only Irish Dance (ages 10 & up) at 5-6pm, and Novice Irish Dance (Ages 10 & Up) at 6-7pm.
All Competition Prep Classes offered in the 2025 Spring Session are on Sunday Afternoons: Beginner (Ages 5-9) at 3-4pm, Novice (Ages 10-17) at 4-5pm, Adult (Ages 18 & Up) at 5-6pm.
All classes at Prairie North Dance are $25 + GST per class. Cost for each session is determined by the number of classes in that session. For example, there are 11 classes total in the Fall session for both the Beginner and Novice class which would equal a total tuition cost of $275+GST for the fall session.
Families receive a 10% discount off total tuition for the session if they register and pay in full before the start of the first class of the session.
Families with more than one dancer registered in a given dance session will receive a 15% multi-student discount off total tuition for that session. As well, Prairie North Dance offers a multi-class discount. If a dancer registers for 2 classes in a session, they will receive 10% off the total tuition amount. If a dancer registers for 3 or more classes in a session, they will receive 15% off the total tuition amount.
There is a one-time $20 registration fee per family, per year (the year includes the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions) that will be added to your session payment at your initial registration. Example, if the registration fee is paid in the Fall session, it is not paid again when the student registers for the subsequent Winter or Spring session.
